Tatiana Silva, television presenter joined forces with UNICEF to raise awareness of the challenges facing vulnerable children and families around the world.
As part of her commitment, Tatiana visited UNICEF's Supply Division in Copenhagen, Denmark, offering a rare glimpse into the logistical operations that make much of the organisation's humanitarian work possible.
While UNICEF is widely recognised for its programmes supporting children around the world, the extraordinary work taking place behind the scenes often remains invisible.
Behind every vaccination campaign, emergency response, nutrition programme or educational initiative lies a complex global supply operation. From procuring life-saving vaccines and essential medicines to distributing therapeutic food, educational materials and emergency equipment, UNICEF works to ensure that vital supplies reach children wherever they are needed.
The scale of these operations is remarkable. According to UNICEF's latest Supply Annual Report, in 2025 alone, the organisation procured US$5.68 billion worth of supplies and services for children across 164 countries and territories. That same year, UNICEF and its partners enabled the rapid delivery of US$1.44 billion worth of emergency supplies to 67 countries, supporting children and families affected by conflict, displacement and humanitarian crises.
Yet behind these impressive figures are thousands of people working to ensure that essential supplies are available, affordable and delivered where they are needed most. Their work is particularly critical during emergencies, when every delay can have serious consequences for children's lives.
